One of the Best Zoo Lights in the Nation are in Billings, MT

Exciting news for ZooMontana and Holiday Nights.

It's been a great week for Billings. We found out we're one of the Top 25 Best Towns to Live Out West, and wrapping up the week (12/8), Holiday Nights at ZooMontana has snagged the spotlight, clinching the prestigious #4 spot on USA Today's 10 Best Zoo Lights list for 2023.

An impressive holiday accolade for the Magic City.

Competing with zoos in much larger cities and taking 4th place is something Billings can be proud of. Zoos were nominated by a panel of experts and the field was narrowed to 10 Best. The zoo's final rankings were based in part on online voting. Regarding Holiday Nights at ZooMontana, USA Today wrote,

Billings' Zoo Montana celebrates the season with its Holiday Nights lights display — the largest throughout the region. Over 10 million lights create dazzling walkways and a beautiful winter Christmas village. There are plenty of large-scale displays to check out, sleigh rides, and community fire pits, and you can even rent your own private s'mores tent to snack and stay warm in.

Experience the magic at Holiday Nights, Now through January 1.

Holiday Nights runs Thursday to Sunday, now through December 24. It's closed on December 25th. The lights and fun return on December 26 and run nightly through Jan 1. It starts at 5 pm and the lights are off at 9 pm.

Adult tickets (12+) are $20, child prices are $10, and age 3 and under are free. Seniors and Veterans discounts are available at the gate and four packs of tickets offer nice savings. Online tickets HERE.

There are food vendors, hot and cold drinks for all ages, Santa is there (photos are an additional charge), and special surprises around every corner. It's a lot of fun and the lights are quite spectacular.
