A different kind of circus is coming to Billings.

A favorite childhood memory is when my parents took us to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, back in the day, long before it dissolved in 2017. I remember being amazed by the motorcycles that raced around inside a metal globe, defying gravity. The scantily-clad circus ladies piqued my pre-adolescent curiosity about... stuff... and of course, the elephants, the ringmaster, the dancing horses, and the clowns were a treat too.

Paranormal Cirque is coming to Billings April 18 - 21.

This production is certainly not for children. The spectacle is Rated R and youth 17 and under are prohibited without an adult. Children under 13 are not permitted, period.

Have you ever been to a Las Vegas Cirque show?

The various Cirque shows in Vegas are some of my favorite things to see. They're sexy, and the talented performers, music, and ambiance are impressive. A wildly popular more-adult-oriented Vegas show is Absinthe, held in a tent at Ceasars Palace. We imagine Paranormal Cirque is somewhat similar to Absinthe, probably with much less comedy and heavy on the macabre.

What to expect at Paranormal Cirque in Billings.

Honestly, your guess is as good as ours, but based on the trailer below and info on the production company's website, it should be entertaining. The troupe says the show is a mix of "Acrobats of the Air, Illusionists, freaks, mysterious creatures" - a fusion between Circus, theatre, and cabaret.

Find Paranormal Cirque under the tent in the Rimrock Mall parking lot April 18 - 21.

Again, this show is not exactly family family. If you're looking for an old-fashioned, kid and grandparent-appropriate show, perhaps the Jordan World Circus at MetraPark this month is more your style. Tickets for Paranormal Cirque range from $15 to $60 and you can get ticket info HERE.
