How long will the former Rio Sabina's in Billings sit empty?

We're guessing probably not long. The intersection of King Ave West and Shiloh Road began filling with shops in 2008 when real estate developers created one of Billings' biggest retail projects since Rimrock Mall was constructed. The 75-acre shopping center known as Shiloh Crossing is now perhaps the busiest shopping complex in Montana, drawing both locals and shoppers from around the state and Wyoming.

Many were sad to see Rio Sabinas close.

With anchors like Scheels, AMC, and Kohl's, Shiloh Crossing has seen rapid development since its inception, with various shopping and services that now include financial institutions, auto service, offices, specialty stores, and a slew of smaller retailers and restaurants. It seems to be the place to be for new businesses in Billings, and almost all of the empty spaces in the shopping center are full.

Rio Sabina's closed in 2023.

I was semi-surprised when Rio Sabina's closed last September. We weren't frequent guests, but every time I drove by it appeared fairly busy. The company shared a press release with KULR 8, where owners/management announced the closure.

We are grateful to have served this wonderful community for 11 years. We want to thank the people of Billings for making us a part of their lives and are grateful to the team members who created the environment which made this a wonderful place to dine.

Opinion here: The margaritas at Rio Sabina's were fantastic. The food was a bit "meh", especially toward the end. Google Reviews were quite mixed, with many patrons agreeing with my assessment.
