10 Common Every Day Dramas We Endure in Billings
America seems very divided these days, but in reality- we all endure the same dramas in everyday life here in Billings.
Whether it's spilling something on your shirt at work, sending the text message to the wrong person or tripping over your shoes in public- they're all annoying to deal with. It's okay to feel frustration from time to time.
Here are the most common dramas we endure on the daily in Tragic City...I mean, Magic City.
#1. Road rage from angry drivers on Broadwater, Grand Ave., Montana Ave., any street in Billings, really. I've been road raged on more in the last 6 months of my life while living in Billings, than ever before...it's fine.
#2. Semi Trucks Rolling over on I-90 due to high wind causing hours and hours of traffic jams. Just last week, our news talk radio host was stuck in Livingston for hours due to low visibility and high winds.
#3. Hunting Stories- Twitter got very upset with hunting photos from Matt Rosendale. Remember in 2022 when a Montana woman thought she was shooting a wolf pup? Yeah, that was a husky pup...and the state was up in arms about it for weeks.
#4. Running over rabbits, squirrels, racoons, and deer. I hit a squirrel and it was the worst day of my life because I'd never killed an animal before that. Absolutely traumatic, and I ended up having to put the squirrel out of its misery. I cried for hours.
#5. Magic City’s Gossip- Poor Freddy Fowler. He’s just trying to sell cars and get people to his golf course...😂 But love to chat about him around town. I personally think he's a cool dude. But to each their own, I guess.
#6. Vandalism. Laurel middle school called my co-host Michael to tell him about the 5th & 6th boys bathroom toilets getting clogged with markers and other “unpleasant” things. I've heard of other vandalism stories around town, and it seems to be almost every week we see something on the news about a church, a person's car, etc.
#7. Accidentally almost hitting transients with your car while they're jay walking across the streets of Billings. I freaked out because the other morning a woman hopped in front of my car on Montana Ave. It was... scary. Glad I know how to slam on my breaks.
#8. Ranch life- losing a cow, chicken, etc. to complications like sickness or a predator attacking animals. Just all around sad news for the livestock, daily.
#9. Kids Getting Bullies at Schools in town- Especially Laurel schools. This town talks and they talk a lot about bullying not being dealt with by the schools.
#10. Shootings/ Stabbings almost daily in Magic City. It's unfortunate to hear news of an old friend or acquaintance passing due to violence in Billings. And this seems to be constant in Billings.
