A Brilliant Play on Words from One Phantom Restaurant in Billings

What the heck is a phantom restaurant  

It’s a term I coined for businesses who make most of their profits from online ordering. I found this phantom business while doing some online food ordering, something I don’t do very often. I was scrolling on Grub Hub or Uber Eats when the funniest name for a Thai restaurant showed up in my feed. 

Vegan Food in Montana...

I know, I know. Montanans do not want to hear about vegans, plant-based anything, and the meat eaters of Billings have many negative opinions of people who eat this way. 

I was vegan for 5 years, and vegetarian for 2.  It was indeed for health purposes. I still limit my meat intake, definitely not eating it for every meal because my doctor told me so. But yes, I indulge in a nice piece of meat from time to time these days.  

The Phantom food business in Billings knows their audience

These creative people know that Montana is cattle-country. People love their beef here. But that didn't stop them from naming their restaurant something quite clever. That’s what makes this even funnier.  

The restaurant is named: Phuket I’m Vegan  

You read that right. I pronounced it like the “F Word.”  This marketing strategy is absolutely genius.

 "EF it, I'm Vegan."😂 But it's actually pronounced "poo-ket." Making it even funnier to me. 

This food business is brilliant. A great play on words. Their food actually tastes delicious, it's full of flavor, and of course- lots of protein. I got the red curry and wow- that's a party in my mouth.
