
Billings Firefighters Recover Body from Downtown House Fire
The Billings Fire Department recovered a body Sunday afternoon, after responding to multiple 911 calls regarding a home that was on fire at 1002 N 25th Street in Billings.
According to a brief press release from the City of Billings, first responders arrived at the address near Dehler Park baseball stadium around 2:30 pm Sunday. Witnesses reported there was likely someone inside the burning home.
A deceased male was discovered.
The BFD initiated rescue operations and retrieved a deceased male. An additional Billings Fire Department team extinguished the home, which received moderate damage, per the City.
A standard protocol investigation is underway with Billings Fire Bureau, Billings Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives coordinating.
