Billings Heights Franz Bakery Gets Facelift
Now that I think about it, the term "bakery" refers more to a cake and cookie shop nowadays. What about a place to buy specialty breads, less expensive than the grocery stores?
Franz Bakery on 1211 Main Street in the Billings Heights is such a place. A quaint little shop just south of Steffanich Drive by the Conoco station, Franz in Heights and West End provides delicious breads and bagels to stores throughout the area. I really dig their potato and sourdough breads.
I drove by there and noticed a new look. The property owner upgraded the outer appearance with rich brown siding and a brand new glass door. The entrance had been shored up with a sheet of plywood for weeks after a shopper failed to brake the car. An employee there reminded me that a couple years ago another motorist drove their car right into the building.
To complement the earthy tone, a fresh new window painting hails the warmer weather. Time to go outside and play!
Need a Quick Gift?
Franz is a great place for affordable gifts for any special occasion, birthday or Christmas. Montana Huckleberry products include scone, muffin and cookie mixes, Montana made syrups and jams; candies, taffy and licorice and so much more.
Reminisce is Here
Have you been hearing about Reminisce Angus Ranch products on the radio, with their jerky and meat sticks? Here's a news flash: there are at the Franz Bakery in the Heights. I just picked up their Beef Snack Sticks at Franz and they have a warm, meaty flavor; of course you can rachet up the heat with pepper or jalapeno.
So stop on by where the nice ladies always say "Welcome."
