Will You Give Henry a Home for the Holidays?
This week, our featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet is a handsome, four-year-old dog named Henry. Henry is ready to adopt now at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings, and we can't imagine this dog will wait long to find his new home.

Henry is a Red Retriever mix.
Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at YVAS, thinks Henry might be part German Shepherd too, as some of his darker accent markings resemble the breed. Henry is likely a "Heinz 57" dog, a genetic blend of multiple breeds. Regardless, he's a great-looking dog with a personality to match.
Calm, cool, and gentle.
Some of the Wet Nose Wednesday dogs that pop into our studios each week are a little hyper... not Henry. This gentle boy is as cool as the flipside of your pillow. He knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. He loves riding in the car too, said Wulf.
Henry would probably do best in a single-dog household.
Occasionally, a pet gets adopted and then returned to the shelter, for various reasons. Henry was returned because he reportedly didn't get along well with another small-breed dog at the home.
