Cheyenne Frontier Days 2024 Lineup Has Something For Everyone
Let's head to the beaches of Cheyenne.
For ten days each summer, the somewhat mundane city of Cheyenne, WY explodes with visitors for one of the biggest parties in the West. Cheyenne Frontier Days attracts well over half a million fans, according to a 2021 economic impact study. The 125th anniversary of "the Grandaddy of them all" was a record-buster that year, and based on the entertainment lineup for 2024, it could be another year for record attendance.
Thousands of Montanans visit Cheyenne for the party.
From Billings, it's an easy, 6-ish hour drive to Cheyenne for the event, held this year from July 19 - 28. It's ten big days of rodeo action, along with some of the biggest names in entertainment. Here are the 2024 headliners at Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Other things to do in Cheyenne, WY.
The capital of Wyoming is about half the size of Billings but appears the same in many ways. My first-hand knowledge of fun things to do in Cheyenne is nil, as we're usually in a hurry to get to Denver as we pass through on I-25.
However, the city offers a variety of interesting things to do besides Frontier Days. They've got a fun old-school trolley, a botanical garden, and a variety of museums rich with Western history. Thirty minutes from downtown, visitors can explore a missile defense facility, dubbed Quebec 01. It's the only accessible Peacekeeper Missile Alert Facility in the world.
