Transforming Billings

"If you have an idea for transforming a space to a Place in Yellowstone County, apply Now for the 2023 grant."

Better Off in Billings shared this post on Instagram, and y’all know by now, I love art. I enjoy supporting artists and promoting them.

Both organizations help revamp spaces around town to help bring life to this city, among many other things. Some people think, “money could be spent on better things in Billings,” but I think supporting artists, who help make Billings beautiful is a necessity.

Imagine a world without art… so dull, so boring.

Imagine Billings without the alleys being painted over, the skatepark remaining a stale concrete grey, and the underpasses that people see every day. Adding color and life to this city is important! It shows we care about this city, the people in it, and giving it that dazzle it deserves.

Big Sky Economic Development is now accepting applications for grant money to help beautify Billings for 2023.

If you are an artist, or know an artist to help with this project- spread the word. And don’t be shy- just apply!
We know this city gets bad publicity when it comes to crime. The running joke of a nickname "Tragic City" is just another example of the negativity people have on this beautiful place.
