After 40 Years Beloved Billings Restaurant Will Stop Serving Food
Gusick's Restaurant announced in a Facebook post on 5/17 that they will no longer be serving food, effective Sunday, May 28th. They wrote,
GUSICK'S, AFTER 40 YRS. (1983 TO 2023), IS GETTING OUT OF THE RESTAURANT PART OF THE BUSINESS, OUR LAST DAY SERVING FOOD WILL BE SATURDAY 27 MAY. WE WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE BAR AND CASINO. WE THANK ALL OF YOU FOR SUPPORTING US ALL THESE YEARS.
Gusick's Restaurant is well-loved by its patrons.
The family-owned restaurant is known for its generous portions, steaks, friendly service, and old-school comfort food. Their hot turkey sandwiches and hamburger steak entrees, smothered with gravy were tasty favorites. The establishment is popular with farmers and ranchers, many who have eaten there for years.
Restaurants come and go, but 40 years is pretty impressive.
There are only a handful of sit-down restaurants in Billings that have been operating continuously for four decades in the same location. Gusick's fans were quick to share their memories and well wishes on the restaurant's Facebook page.
"My Dad's favorite place to eat, Sylvia & John were so good to all the cowboys." - Elizabeth
"Sad to hear…was our favorite place to eat when we were in Billings." - Carolyn
"Makes me so sad! Thanks for all the great meals!!!" - Candace
The last day for food service at Gusick's Restaurant will be Saturday, May 27th. The bar and casino will remain open.
