Have I ever told you the story of the time I got a black eye while moshing to a punk cover of Kermit the Frog's "Rainbow Connection?"

It was a hot summer day in 2002. The kind of hot where everything gets sticky? Me and my crew made the trip to a place called "Oscar's Dreamland" in Billings. An old farm with antique tractors littered around the property. That was the chosen venue for the Montana stop on the popular WARPED TOUR.

We made it in the pit just in time to witness my "punk rock Elvis," "FAT" Mike play with his side project "Me First and the Gimme Gimme's." The punk band is known for cranking out some amazing cover songs. When they belted out their rendition of "Rainbow Connection," I knew I had to dance. I entered the mosh and immediately tripped and fell. The crowd was quick to pick me up, but not before taking the heel of a boot to the face. 22 years later, it was totally worth it.

The Warped Tour is rumored to be making a return in 2025. Spreading one of the largest festival tours across the entire country featuring hundreds of artists on the bill.

According to Rock Feed

Warped Tour will celebrate its anniversary with a series of festivals next year when Warped Tour returns in 2025. The rock festival will now be overseen by Live Nation, although Festival founder Kevin Lyman is said to be heavily involved.

Could Montana be a part of the upcoming tour? In the years I followed the Warped Tour it stopped in Bozeman or Billings just about every year. With Live Nation involved, and their partnership with LogJam Presents, could the Warped Tour make a stop in Missoula for 2025? Fingers crossed.

Just remember, the news of the Warped Tour return is only rumors... For now.
