For many families across Montana, serious medical situations don’t always stay local. For folks in our smaller communities, and our neighbors in Wyoming, when things get complicated with your little one, you might be suddenly packing bags and heading to St V's or Billings Clinic.

And if they can't fix it here, there's a good chance you'll end up in Denver, Salt Lake, or Seattle. It’s stressful, expensive, and often overwhelming. That’s why organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities matter so much. I’ve experienced firsthand how much of a difference they make.

Bilings Casino Night is April 16 at The Depot.

The upcoming Quality of Life Casino Night aims to support the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at St. Vincent Regional Hospital. It's a quiet, welcoming space near the NICU where families can take a breath, away from the beeping and bustle, without leaving the hospital floor.

My wife and I have spent hundreds of hours in a Ronald McDonald room just like this, and when you need it, it’s everything. A place to sit, charge your phone, take a nap while you wait for test results, grab a snack, do laundry, or just exist for a relatively peaceful moment during an incredibly difficult time.

Casino Night has given over $1 Million to Billings area non-profits.

Billings Casino Night is hosted by the Billings Association of Realtors, a group that’s been giving back in a big way for years. Since 2004, their Quality of Life program has raised over $1 million for dozens of local nonprofits. The charity recipients are different each year.

Casino Night is one of their signature events, and it’s designed to be as fun as it is meaningful. Attendees can enjoy Texas Hold ’Em, BINGO, PLINKO, a large silent auction, live auction items, and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be food trucks on site and drinks available, spirited or not.
