President Trump Calls on Montana Students for Prestigious Task

The honor of representing your state is unique and prestigious honor. There's something competitive about it too, right? You want to give the impression that the place you're representing is the best and exemplify what it means to be, in this case, a Montanan.

Now, students at Dutton/Brady Schools will get a chance to represent Montana on the national stage.

President Trump Calls on Montana for Big Honor

I recently had Governor Gianforte on for a conversation on 560 KMON and he was beyond excited to share a special request that came directly from the President of the United States.

"We got a really special request from the White House," Governor Gianforte said with excitement on the phone with 560 KMON.

"President Trump reached out and said, 'Listen, you have an exceptional art teacher in Montana who can design some Christmas ornaments for us.'"

Governor Gianforte then revealed that Mrs. Offerdal of Dutton/Bracy Schools would be overseeing this Christmas ornament project with her students.

"So, we selected Tara Offerdal, the art teacher at Dutton School, and her classroom is making Christmas ornaments for the National Christmas Tree."

How awesome is that? Also, here's the big question: What kind of message will the kids send?

"Montana has an incredible brand, people think of the wild west, they think of freedom, they think of patriotism, and you know, it's going to be up to the students," Governor Gianforte said.

"But I have no question that Mrs. Offerdal's class will represent Montana well."
