Warning: Broccoli Sold in Montana Now Poses Death Risk
Late last year, a voluntary recall was issued for Marketside Broccoli Florets sold at Walmart, following the discovery of a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration made this announcement after Braga Fresh, the producer of the affected broccoli, initiated the recall.
Now, the FDA has reclassified this as a Class I recall, which is the most serious level of recall issued by the agency because it could be deadly.
While this product has expired and is no longer available in stores, some customers may have stored it in their freezers for later use. If you have this product in your freezer, do not eat it; throw it away.

This germ can make people very sick, especially kids, older people, and those with weak immune systems. Symptoms can include fever, headache, and nausea, and in pregnant women, it can even cause miscarriages or stillbirths.
