
Chaotic Week In Yellowstone County Led To Multiple Arrests
The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office stayed busy during the week of May 4 through May 10, responding to 530 calls for service across the county. According to the department’s weekly activity report, deputies also made 13 arrests and completed 278 case reports during that same stretch.
These weekly reports offer a brief look at what law enforcement faces behind the scenes every day. Some calls involve serious crimes. Others are situations that escalated quickly and changed lives within minutes.
Disorderly Conduct: 18-Year-Old Arrested
- Two disorderly conduct-related arrests involving 18-year-old Kaleb Duffy occurred on May 8. The listed charges included disorderly conduct and possession of intoxicants by a person under 21. Both arrests showed Duffy as being in custody at the time of the report.
DUI Arrests Highlight Ongoing Road Safety Concerns
Deputies also reported multiple DUI arrests during the week.
- 38-year-old Jonika Sloan was arrested on a first offense DUI charge on May 8.
- 42-year-old Michael Dubell was arrested on a second offense DUI charge on May 9.
Drug Charges: Dangerous Drugs and Paraphernalia Cases
- 45-year-old Katrina Edens was arrested on May 6 on charges connected to criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Both charges showed Edens in custody at the time the report was released.
Contempt of Court Allegations Result in Multiple Arrests
Several arrests this week involved allegations of contempt of court.
- 23-year-old Aidan Clark was arrested on May 5 on a misdemeanor contempt-of-court charge.
- 43-year-old Ryan Hagerman was also arrested on May 6 on a misdemeanor contempt-of-court charge.
- 47-year-old Charles Ackerman was arrested on May 7 on a similar contempt-of-court misdemeanor allegation.
Protection Order Violations and Obstruction Charges
Deputies reported several arrests involving obstruction charges and protection order violations.
- 55-year-old Chad Richards was arrested on May 5 for obstructing a peace officer or public servant. Richards was also listed on a city warrant.
- 42-year-old Amanda James was arrested on May 5 for violation of a no-contact order.
- 44-year-old Russell Passons faced several listed charges on May 8, including aggravated fleeing of a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest, speeding in a school zone, and violation of a protection order. One additional arrest involving Passons was listed as a notice to appear.

Warrant Arrest Adds to Weekly Tally
- 46-year-old Artie Spang was arrested May 4 on a city warrant, according to the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office report.
