It's no surprise that when we mention the word Montana these days, people automatically think of the TV series Yellowstone. And who wouldn't? I mean, it is entering its 5th season and has spinoffs being filmed right now in Butte, Helena, and Missoula.

One thing people don't realize is that Montana has a connection to one of America's most beloved Pixar characters. Which one? Here is a hint:

"Being there for a child is the most noble thing a toy can do."

Do you know the quote? It's Woody from Toy Story! So many people may not know that the creator of the famous Woody, Andy's BEST FRIEND, was born and raised in Billings.

William Luckey, commonly known to his friends and family as Bud, was born and raised in Billings! Sadly, he passed at the age of 83, in 2018, but not before he created one of our favorite characters of the animated world.

Not only did Bud create Woody, but you would also recognize him as the voice for many more of our favorite Pixar films.

Bud as Rick Dicker in the Incredibles:

He was the voice for Chuckles the Clown in Toy Story 3. One of my favorite characters, and this scene is one of the saddest and tells the story we all were curious about as we watched the movie.

Last but surely not least, the beloved Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh in 2011.

As you watch these life-long favorites from your childhood, or maybe your kids' childhood, remember the beloved "Bud" Luckey. He definitely made Montana extremely proud.
