Ahhh, summer. It's the time to get out the barbecue, grab the dogs out of the fridge, and grill them up to perfection (and if you're like me, slightly charred). And of course, you need the whole suite of condiments... ketchup, mustard, relish... and Colachup?

Pepsi Infused... Ketchup!?

No jokes here. PepsiCo has announced for the 4th of July this year, while Americans hog down over 150 MILLION hot dogs on the 4th of July ALONE... they are bringing "even more red, white and blue to the party" with Pepsi Colachup.

What is Colachup?

According to PepsiCo, it is literally ketchup infused with Pepsi. Why did they do this? Well, because "the best way to eat a hot dog is with a refreshing ice cold Pepsi". Marketing teams...

Anyhow, Pepsi even recruited (PAID) Joey Chestnut, one of the top competitive eaters in the United States, to vouch for this combo. Personally, I always say "Coke" with my Hot Dog... but maybe next time I'll try a Pepsi. (Sorry to our Coke guy... he really is awesome and keeps us stocked up on energy drinks at the Townsquare Tower. I promise I prefer your machine.)

How can I try this monstrosity, delicacy, concoction?

Good news! If you live in Montana... you can't! Along with 45 other states, Pepsi is only bringing this to four locations on the 4th of July:

• Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona
• Yankee Stadium, Bronx, New York
• Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
• Comerica Park, Detroit, Michigan

But, heck. What's stopping you from just... mixing... Pepsi and Ketchup? Nothing. Just know, I and many others WILL be judging you if you do this on the 4th.
