The Coolest Cars in the Region Head to Billings Auction Block
Burn the Point is a Labor Day Weekend tradition in Billings, with the parade and a street dance typically drawing hundreds of fans. Lovers of classic cars can also check out the annual vehicle auction too, with over 100 cars and trucks expected to hit the auction block. Plus, some really cool neon automotive signage (below) is up for bid.
10th Annual Montana Classic Car Auction
Doors open at 8 am on Saturday, September 3rd at the MetraPark Expo Center. Hosted by the Classic Car Auction Group, there is something for everyone this year. From old pickups and antique vehicles to hot rods and newer models.
1939 Ford Tudor Custom Street Rod
Flames always make them faster, right? This nicely built coupe has a 350 with an automatic transmission.
700+ Horsepower Dodge
Newer cars and trucks will also be on the auction, including this sweet 2022 Dodge RAM. Car and Driver said this about the beefy truck, which will do 0 - 60 in just 3.7 seconds,
The 702-hp Ram 1500 TRX is a badass behemoth that makes every other full-size truck look like kids' toys.
The Hellcat will be discontinued next year (along with the firebreathing engine in this truck) so get them while you can.
British Invasion
Perhaps sipping tea and puttering around the countryside with the top down is more your speed? This 1952 MG TD Roadster is a fun little car.
Cool old pickup trucks.
There are a bunch of pickups on the auction this year, including this nicely done '53 Chevy 5-window. The roof has been chopped five inches and the drivetrain has been modernized.
Sweet muscle cars.
You can't say the words "muscle car" without including the legendary Pontiac GTO. This 1965 model has the 396 (believed to be original) topped with a four-barrel carb.
