I drive to Bozeman from Manhattan every day for work. If you're familiar with that section of I-90, you've probably noticed trash and debris hung up on fences on the side of the road. Montana is no stranger to high winds, and things getting blown around.

Every year during the spring, I notice people in orange vests picking up trash and removing it from fences and along I-90. I'm not sure that those people get enough praise for the work that they do, and I wanted to give them a shoutout. For some reason, there seemed to be a lot more trash this year than in the past.

One of the main things people love about living in Montana is how pristine it is, but nobody ever talks about the people that put in the time to keep it that way. There's nothing worse than going to a place that you love and seeing trash scattered everywhere.

Most of the people that you see cleaning up trash along roadways in Montana are involved in the state's Adopt A Highway and Sponsor A Highway programs. If you're interested in learning more, click here.

I just want to thank the people that do the dirty work in order to keep Montana such a beautiful place. We salute you!
