A Look Inside the Huge New Costco in Billings
I was supposed to be on a bit of a real vacation today, but ended up doing a staycation instead- so why not check out the huge new Costco near the zoo in Billings?
I got there shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday morning when the doors first opened. Let's just say that one of the samples was a New York Strip Steak, so that alone was worth it.
How big is the new Costco in Billings? It is very spacious and very roomy. While the parking lot seemed full, it wasn't too crowded Friday morning. I imagine that is due to the cold, snowy, icy weather we have had over the past couple days.
As KTVQ-TV reported, "the property is more than 166,000 square feet, which is a more than 15,000 increase" from the older Costco on King Avenue. The size and the layout reminds me of a Costco that I visited in Miami, Florida. (I needed my protein bars so I could eat cheap in Miami)
Here's some more photos and a couple videos I took Friday morning: (I should've spent more time providing better videos...but I'm on vacation...and I wanted some samples)
Check out the massive teddy bear in the background. And of course the Christmas decor is already out.
Speaking of Christmas- I couldn't resist picking up one of these Montana cutting boards.
Meadowlark Brewing was on hand for the grand opening Friday. I got to check out their brewery in Sidney, Montana a few years ago. They now have a brewery right next to the new Costco in Billings.
The food court still has the $1.50 hot dog and pop. But check out the new roast beef sandwich.
Again, sorry for my bad video quality below- but you get the gist.
