Skyview traveled up north to Great Falls to take on the CMR Rustlers last Friday night. They lost 9-15 in a game that featured ridiculous winds, blown lights, and 250 total yards.

CMR started strong defensively, stopping the returning Camble Bjornstad (Sr) in the endzone for a 1-yard safety. Bjornstad entered the game dealing with an ankle injury he acquired in the loss to West the game before.

Hoping to stick it out, Camble got two carries for 13 yards before he once again left the game with his injury. He’ll hope to return this week during Homecoming against Senior.

The Falcons offense struggled.

Skyview managed only 25 yards on the game off of 39 plays, being outgained by CMR by 200 yards. Skyview managed to score 9 in the 4th after being held scoreless until 7:00 minutes left, starting with a -19-yard safety of their own and followed up by a kickoff return for a touchdown by Jayvn Gallup (Sr).

A storm knocked out power and transformers, killing half the lights on the field.

A windstorm swept through the Great Falls area during halftime, downing power lines and transformers throughout the city. The outage affected the high school as well, knocking out lights at the field and causing the second half to be played under half the lights. With 40 mph winds a factor as well, the second half was truly a football anomaly.
