Montana’s Rockin’ the Rivers Festival Announces 2024 Lineup
Rockin' the Rivers 2024 headliners have been announced.
Rockin' the Rivers is one of Montana's signature summer music festivals. Launched in 1999, the multi-day concert series Augst 8 - 10, 2024 "at the bridge" south of Three Forks, combines a mix of camping, partying, and great bands for an unforgettable experience. The venue (essentially a large, sloped field with a main stage at one end and vendors scattered throughout) provides a unique atmosphere for fans to let loose.
This week, organizers released their first list of confirmed acts on its Facebook page. For fans of late 90s - 2000s rock and roll, there are some notable standouts. Here's who's confirmed for one of the biggest summer parties in Montana.
Stone Temple Pilots
While nobody can ever fill the shoes of the late Scott Weiland, the band's current lead vocalist Jeff Gutt (since 2017) does a great job breathing fresh life into one of the 90's biggest alt-rock bands.
The Wallflowers
Fronted by Jakob Dylan, son of music icon Bob Dylan, the Wallflowers had a string of hits in the 90s, including 6th Avenue Heartache, One Headlight, and Heroes (from the Godzilla soundtrack). The band has continued to release new music.
Smashmouth
You couldn't turn on a radio from 1999 - 2010 without hearing Smashmouth. Frontman Steve Harwell retired in 2021 after struggling with his health (and perhaps addiction issues) and passed away in 2023. He was replaced by lead singer Zach Goode in 2022.
Hoobastank
These guys released six albums in their career and are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2024 with new music and a tour that includes a stop at Rockin' the Rivers.
Tim Montana
Butte, MT native Tim Montana is a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and a whole lot of attitude.
Hinder
Hinder burst onto the rock scene in 2001 with Lips of an Angel and the band continues to put on a great show for loyal fans.
Other confirmed acts for 2024 include The Cadillac Three, Blacktop Mojo, Cody Parks and the Dirty South, Smile Empty Soul, Simon Says, Liliac, with more TBA. Rockin' the Rivers offers tickets and packages at various price points, from single-day tickets to three-day camping/concert tickets and VIP experiences. Find out more HERE. Note: ticket go on sale February 1, 2024.
