Mix Fans: Win a Dirt Suite for 8 at the Rodeo at MontanaFair
As Garth Brooks sang so profoundly, "It's the dust and the blood and the dirt and the mud, and they call the thing rodeo!" Fans are thrilled that outdoor rodeo action is returning to MontanaFair this year, and it's going to be awesome. Even more awesome? We have your chance to win a Dirt Suite for eight people at the rodeo! Scroll down to enter.
Rodeo Billings kicks off its inaugural year at the fair, August 14, 15, and 16, next to the shiny-new arena grandstands. When the old grandstands were demolished in 2019 for safety concerns, the rodeo at MontanaFair moved indoors to the First Interstate Arena. And we'll be honest... indoor rodeos just aren't the same.

It's the NILE PRCA Rodeo, with a fresh face.
For those unfamiliar with Montana's rodeo scene, Rodeo Billings is a new take on the NILE PRCA Rodeo that's traditionally been held in October. Becky Hillier, PR Director for Rodeo Billings, explained at a media luncheon this week how the date change is not only great for rodeo fans, but pro riders as well.
Hillier said moving the October NILE Rodeo to coincide with MontanaFair dates makes this rodeo stop much more attractive for the cowboys and cowgirls on the circuit. Because... the August date is just weeks away from the pro's qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. And these pro athletes will do almost anything to rack up points and cash this time of year.
By October, it's too late for them to qualify. So the best-of-the-best have already clinched invitations to the NFR and will skip smaller rodeos to prevent injury (or heal up from the season). What does that mean for fans? We're much more likely to get big-name rodeo stars in August than in October.
