Officer Surprises Total Stranger With Money, Christmas Gifts After Break-In
In a time when the police are under scrutiny and grinches lurk around every corner, it's nice to see a story where officers are making a positive difference.
Atlanta police officer Mason Mercure spearheaded a drive to help Wess Earl, whose home was recently robbed. Mercure, who had never met Earl, helped raise $3,000, which he gave to Earl. He also led the charge to get new toys for Earl's grandkids, since the toys he had were stolen during the break-in.
Earl was blown away by Mercure's generosity, calling it, "overwhelming."
