Social media is a gem- if you use it wisely.

With the age of the internet and social media at our finger tips, it’s easy to get lost in “the highlight reel” of people’s lives. But if we use social media to spread awareness and help others in need, it’s a great tool to get information. I was scrolling through Instagram and noticed photos of extremely skinny dogs eating a deer carcass. Gnarly... And sad.

Freckles and Tomcat Rescue of Montana

The shocking photos were shared by Freckles and Tomcat Rescue on Facebook and Instagram. This rescue was started by Eshan King, after she moved to Montana from Colorado in 2008.

She’s basically an angel walking the earth. And so are the people who donate to help the animals in need. Her passion is helping as many animals as she can that need food, medicine, blankets and coats.

Homeless, Starving Dogs Need Help

Although Eshan’s rescue is in Hardin, but she has helpers who gather dog food and drive it up to Hardin, Lame Deer, and more reservations to feed the homeless dogs. To not only have the bravery to battle Montana roads in the winter, but then feed homeless animals...  It’s like Eshan is Santa Claus and has little elves who help her. Pure love and magic.

And we can too. If you love animals like me, just a bit of your time and money can help.

A little help goes a long way with man’s best friend. And it’s a great way to make your heart feel good. Shoutout to the Eshan the angel, and everyone who's supported her mission. Let's feed and help these doggos!
