Eyes to the sky for a night of viewing the wonders of the night sky! The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks - Region 5 will be hosting the Pictograph Cave State Park Night Sky Viewing!
There is nothing better than laying back and looking up at the wonders of space. Especially if you have someone to guide what you are looking at. Here in the Big Sky, it sure is an amazing just how beautiful our sky's can be!
Pictograph Cave State Park, in partnership with the Yellowstone Valley Astronomy Association (YVAA), is hosting three-nights of sky viewing events at the caves throughout the summer!

This free astronomy events will be held on Saturday, June 21, July 19, and Aug. 23. Each night will begin at 8:30 p.m. and wrap up by midnight.

The YVAA club members will share their knowledge of the south-central Montana sky, and they will also be providing telescopes and other viewing tools to observe the wonders of stars, planets and celestial bodies.

These events will be held in the park’s parking area. Broader access to the park will not be available during the events, including trails. Reservations are not required for these events. If you plan on attending plan on bringing blankets or camp chairs for seating and flashlights. For more details check them out on FB.
