Standoff Situation Unfolding on Broadwater Ave. BPD On the Scene

UPDATE: The suspect has been taken into custody. The streets are reopened for traffic.

BREAKING: Billings Police Department responding to a standoff on Broadwater Ave.

Just before 10 AM Friday (7/26) the Billings Police Department posted on its official Facebook account that a standoff situation is currently unfolding near the intersection of 15th St West and Broadwater Ave.

At this time, Broadwater Avenue is closed between 14th St West and 16th St West. Additionally, 15th St West is blocked off one block north and one block south of Broadwater Ave. Please avoid this area until further notice.

Per the BDP,

The individual is refusing to respond or comply to commands and negotiators and SWAT have been activated.
