Thanks to this Dog Salon in Billings, My Pooch has Never Looked So Good
Peanut’s Breed
Peanut is the cutest nut in the tree of peas. He’s a Pekinese and if you watch the Westminster Dog Shows over Thanksgiving, you’d know Pekinese win the competition quite often. It’s because of their coat! Their fur is like human hair.
Pekinese in general, need that long coat to regulate body temperature, and their luscious locks are definite show stoppers. However, their hair gets oily, creating little pockets on the skin that create tons of itching. That's why grooming is necessary. They have the flat-face nose so it’s hard for this breed to breathe, kind of like Bullies, and Pugs. Their eye sockets create tons of mucus making their face really dirty.
Peanut’s Back Story
My spouse adopted Peanut from a dog mill. Peanut was kept in a cage for the first 6 years of his life. He was the male that was used to impregnate the females. Basically, these sickos used him as a cash cow to sell off puppies. UGH!
Peanut used to be extremely shy, and didn’t know how to play like a dog. After watching a few other pups play with toys, Peanut learned very quickly. And has been thriving ever since my guy adopted him.
Pet Lantis in Billings is the best!
The employees over at this dog salon and daycare are so caring, kind and loving. These ladies have patience and wow, do they do beautiful grooming. Peanut is called “Lion Boy” for a reason. Just look at him.
His fur is the softest it’s ever been, and the longest! Peanut was very nervous for his grooming trip, and they welcomed him with open, caring arms.
I had to write this article to show them how grateful I am.
