The Recipe For A Perfect Day: Balancing Life’s Essential Ingredients
Think of your perfect day. What does that look like to you? Does it involve getting a bunch of stuff done? Or maybe it involves doing a whole lot of nothing at all. Either way we love it when we have a really good day.
A recent study found that we do have a definition of what exactly a "perfect" day looks like. Here's the full breakdown of what our perfect day would look like.
6 hours and 54 minutes of sleep. That seems to be a good goal to set but in reality, how many of us are actually able to do that night after night. Not many is my guess.
2 hours of eating. Agreed and so doable when you add up all the time eating snacks here and there and cramming in 3 meals. Not hard to do at all.
3 hours of family time. That is a must! Family time is by far the most important part of your day!
1 hour and 24 minutes hanging out with friends. Seems on point with this one.
1 hour and 6 minutes hanging with pets. I feel like that number needs to go WAY up! They need more than just an hour of our time.
3 hours and 6 minutes watching TV. Well now we know where our priorities are. That is a good chunk of our day.

1 hour and 24 minutes spent on hobbies. This is a must for fun and for our mental health! We need to slow down and do fun creative things to keep us all in check.
1 hour 30 minutes messing around on our phone. I feel like that is a lie and we do way more than just 90 mins a day. We all have the app on our phone that tells how much time we spend on it. Not only that but it tells you how much time you spend on each app as well!
48 minutes of exercise. That would be a good thing to slip into each day! We don't spend enough time moving around these days it seems.
48 minutes spent shopping. More. I need more time than that to get my shopping on!
A 42-minute nap. That's on top of the seven hours of sleep you got. Enough said there we like our sleep!
And finally, 1 hour and 18 minutes spent listening to music. I encourage you to do more of that and keep the Mix on all day every day!
The average person expects to have 16 perfect days in 2025, which isn't too bad. That evens out to be around one perfect day every three weeks. I feel like we should have more, but it is a start!
