When it comes to gift giving, I like to think that most people put a lot of thought into what you purchase for someone you love. When you really know and love a person it seems like shopping for them is a breeze. Until it comes to shopping for the one day a year you have to prove and show just how much you love them. Valentine's Day.

In my past relationships it has always been a miss never a hit when it comes to Valentine's Day. Maybe it is because I said at some point that it isn't a big deal and no need to plan anything or buy anything. If I did, he should have known that was a lie, or that I was trying to be kind because I knew he was broke. Either way every woman loves to be shown love. Especially when it is a day so heavily celebrated.

Everywhere you go it is nothing but pink, red, hearts, and tiny stuffed animals with cheesy says on the heart they are holding. Are those a tad dumb? Sure. But that doesn't, mean we still don't want one! Even if it isn't one of those, we defiantly want some sweet treats. That is a given and an easy go to gift.

I mean at the very least you can get us a card and write something from the heart, and if you can't do that google will be your best friend to write something super sweet that will make our hearts melt. Take the time to really think about what will make their heart smile. It doesn't have to be big or expensive. It really is the thought that matters. Well at least for me it is. These are a few of the worst gifts one can buy on the day of sweetness and love!

The very worst of the Valentin's Day gifts are as follows:

  1. Cheap flowers - We know when they are cheap as they tend to die super-fast. BUT I guess this could be it's the thought that matters type situation as well.
  2. Expired coupons - I had this happen. Not from a boyfriend but from a previous employer. Real let down.
  3. A picture frame with no picture. At least take the time to print one out and slap it in the frame.
  4. A talking bear or stuffed animal - Those are just flat out creepy and also very much for kids.
  5. Nothing. Getting someone nothing at all says it all. Either you just flat out don't care, or you didn't budget even a small amount for something tiny or something on the bargain side of things.
