Renee Arcand disappeared from a campsite near Glendive, MT in June 2023.

According to a social media post dated 4/20/24, Badlands Search and Rescue Service team members combed through 38 miles of the Yellowstone River recently, picking up where search efforts ended last fall for any signs of Renee Christine Arcand.

Mysterious circumstances.

An estimated 600,000 people will be reported missing in 2024. According to statistics, the vast majority of those are located. For example, of the roughly 521,000 missing in 2021, around 485,000 were found.

To refresh your memory regarding the case of Renee Arcand, the 36-year-old went camping with a friend at the Intake Fishing Access Site, located on the Yellowstone River roughly 16 miles north of Glendive. No new information or clues were discovered in the most recent search effort.

Authorities conducted large-scale search efforts through the fall, utilizing drones, dogs, and numerous organizations lending support. According to the Glendive Ranger Review, the search was called off for the winter in November 2023.

No witnesses saw Arcand fall into the river. Still, based on what little evidence is available, authorities suspect Arcand somehow fell into the river and was carried under by the swift current. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Renee Arcand, contact the Dawson County Sheriff's Office.
