Everyone Needs a Friend Like Alen, Our Featured Adoptable Pet
I love it when dogs have common human names.
For example, our featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet this week from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings. His name is Alen. Not Bella, or Duke, or Max, or Daisy... Alen. His name makes me think of the Hangover movies and this young dog certainly has star power qualities.
Alen is a super-sweet, energetic pup, ready to adopt at YVAS.
Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter said that Alen arrived at the shelter as a stray after being picked up by the Laurel Police Department. Alen had no microchip, and sadly, no one has come forward to claim.
Alen has been at the shelter for two weeks and we're not sure why he hasn't gotten adopted quickly. He's a fun-loving, 1-year-old Siberian Husky mix with great markings, a thick black and tan/white coat, and a bright personality.
He loves to play!
Wulf said that Alen loves other dogs and car rides and he spent most of his in-studio time today passionately chasing a tennis ball. This dog would be great for a human(s) who has time to play. Walks, adventures, chasing sticks, and plenty of belly scratches seem like activities Alen would enjoy.
