You’ll Go Coo-Coo for ‘Cocoa Puff’, a Wet Nose Wednesday Sweetie
Meet Billings' featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet, Cocoa Puff.
She's not too big, she's not too small, and like Goldilocks, she may be the "just right" dog for you. Cocoa Puff is a two-year-old bully mix, according to Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.
She's back at the shelter due to no fault of her own.
Cocoa first came to the shelter as a stray pup. She was quickly adopted into a loving home. Sadly, her human passed away and the next of kin was unable or unavailable to find her a new home.
Cocoa Puff wants to be your new best friend.
Most two-year-old dogs are overflowing with energy. Cocoa Puff was surprisingly chill, curious, and calm in the unfamiliar setting of our studios downtown. She walks well on a leash and immediately knew how to sit when we busted out the little bag of dog treats. Yellowstone Valley Shelter said she might not do well with another dog in the home, but she's great with kids.

Speaking of "other" pets.
The shelter largely deals with dogs and cats, but they do receive a small variety of other less-traditional pet companions such as rabbits, snakes, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, and whatnot. Currently, they have two full-grown turtles. Wulf said they're as big as pie plates and resemble the box turtle pictured above.
