One of Billings' premiere Halloween parties returns for 2023.

The Yellowstone Art Museum is pulling out all the stops for the Masquerade on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The doors swing open at 7 PM, but the cosmic fun doesn't stop until 11 PM. Each year, my spouse has commented, "We should go to this", and for one reason or another we never have. It looks like so much fun, in a more refined setting than your average Billings bar party.

Picture this: live performances that'll leave you spellbound, mystic readings that might just reveal your future, and Billings' wildest costume contest that's sure to blow your mind. And let's not forget the heart-thumping beats on the dance floor, expertly curated by DJ Benefit. The costume contest features four categories with cash prizes:

  • Best Theme Interpretation
  • Best Art-Inspired Costume
  • Best Couple Costume
  • Best Group Costume (3+)

Sexy fun.

I don't know about you, but there is something inherently sexy about a masquerade party. The mystery, the illusion, the wonder of who is behind the mask. They're so much fun.

This year's theme? It's out of this world.

Get ready to say goodbye to Planet Earth and hello to a far-out galaxy as humanity, aliens, monsters, celebs, and more embark on an interstellar adventure. The theme this year is "Beam Me Up!" A space theme with masquerade masks? Heck yeah. Things are bound to get wonderfully weird. Feel like interpreting the theme your own way? Go for it! The YAM wants your creativity to shine like a shooting star.
