The future of Paramount Networks' hit series Yellowstone seems to remain in limbo. Star Kevin Costner is dealing with a messy, expensive divorce. His fictional son Kaycee Dutton (actor Luke Grimes) is reportedly focusing on his rising career as a country singer. Concertgoers were impressed by his sold-out Pub Station performance in Billings earlier this year.

Fans of the series have all but given up on when the second half of season five will come out. Dates keep getting pushed back, and part of me wonders if it will ever happen. We've binge-watched both of the spin-off series while we're waiting. And while the future of the franchise seems to be murky, a major snack manufacturer has decided that now is a great time to jump in on the Yellowstone hype.

Food bloggers are sharing photos of the specially marked packages.

We're not sure exactly how the marketing executives at Frito-Lay decided their salty, extruded corn snack somehow represents the TV show or Montana, but... whatever, right? Slap a Yellowstone logo on the "limited edition" chips (which are not a special flavor) and perhaps it will catch the consumer's eye on a very-crowed snack aisle. An added incentive is a chance to Snap a special code on the packaging to win a trip to Montana.

According to official sweepstakes rules, one winner and a guest will receive roundtrip airfare and a two-night hotel stay in Missoula. They'll get a chance to visit the real ranch near Darby, MT where portions of the show are filmed. The grand prize winner will also get "a horseback riding experience, a spa experience, and a gift bag for winner and winner's guest." Find out more HERE.

We haven't spotted the specially marked Yellowstone Fritos on store shelves around Billings yet, but we haven't really looked. The promotion is offering hundreds of pieces of Yellowstone-branded merchandise as secondary prizes (think coffee cups, water bottles, etc.) in addition to the grand prize.
