ADOPT: This Fun Loving Heeler Mix Will Steal Your Heart in Billings
Kurnatowski is his name, being your best friend is his game.
Billings' featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet this week is ready to adopt today at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, and he is a gem of a dog. We're not sure who to blame for his goofy name; the dog arrived at the shelter as a stray so you could certainly bestow him with a name that rolls off the tongue a little easier. According to the internet, Kurnatowski is a Polish aristocratic name prominent in arts, politics, and the military in the 16th century.

Behold, the royal Heeler?
Kurnatowski is a two-year-old male heeler mix with beautiful black-n-blue tick markings. A very handsome dog, he was quite well-behaved when he visited our studios today. Derek Wulf, Human Outreach Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter said Kurnatowski did great on the car ride, and he loves walks. Heelers can also make excellent running companions if you're looking for a pal on your morning jog.
Playtime is important for this active breed.
With his natural tendency to herd things, you might find him attempting to corral other pets or small children (with love, of course). Kurnatowski might seem shy at first, but he quickly warms up to new situations. Not the right dog for you?
