Cheer on Your Rubber Duck at ZooMontana
On your marks... get set...float!
It isn't NASCAR nor a Trump boat parade yet it has the casual festivity where all are welcome to participate.
Big Sky Senior Services will host their annual Rubber Duck Regatta on Saturday, September 14th at ZooMontana in Billings. The fun begins at 10:00 in the morning with 50-cent carnival games, bingo, and preliminary rubber duck races. The Optimist Club of Lockwood will provide free train rides, and food trucks will have whatever you may be craving.
The rubber quackers will have a race moat constructed by the Good Earth Works Company and Nursery. Those attending can race their duck once on the course each hour before the Grand Prize Duck race that will launch at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Where can I give the Bucks for the Ducks?
One duck is only $5, but you can finance a Quack Pack of six ducks for $25. This purchase opens the door to ZooMontana for the buyer without the additional admission. You can assemble the fleet you wish.
You can buy your ducks online at the Big Sky Senior Services website, or in person at Big Sky Senior Services at 935 Lake Elmo Drive, Suite B in Billings Heights. You can also buy ducks at any of the following Credit Unions: Altana Federal, SEG Federal, Billings Federal, Rimrock, Montana Health, Black Hills Federal and Valley.
The Great Rubber Duck Regatta and Prize Race
From all the numbered ducks purchased, a random selection will float the moat in the Prize Race at 1:30. The winning three ducks will win the following: 1st Place Grand Prize is a $750 gift certificate to Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge; 2nd Place wins a $250 gift certificate to Mattress King; 3rd Place wins $100 gift card to Scheels. Don't need to be present to still win. Prize baskets will be available for 4th through 8th places, provided by the Midland Empire Chapter Credit Unions.
Senior Services
The name is the mission. Big Sky Senior Services provides low-cost assistance for the elderly so they may remain at home safely. Our older generations live better in their own comfortable surroundings yet still needs protection from abuse and exploitation, and the bills must still be paid, which BSSS ensures.
