Georgia Scammer Used MT Homeless for Check Fraud
He cruised the country to pull these bank frauds, but his road trip ended in Montana.
Akia Demetrius Hills of Atlanta, along with his cohorts, committed identity theft by stealing mail and checks, then using the information to cash fraudulent checks in state financial businesses. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office's Montana District, Hills' scam exploited homeless people to enter banks to cash bogus checks. In one case in May 2019, a homeless man entered several banks to cash such a check for them for $6,734, and one bank took the bait.
Hills had pled guilty to identity theft and bank fraud this last June and has been sentenced to four years and over $225,000 in restitution.

Man from Martin City Arraigned on Child Porn Charges
I think I'm about to throw up.
Raymond Owen Bonner Jr. pled not guilty to the production and distribution of child pornography. According to the indictment and the U.S. Attorney's Office press release, this summer June to September, Bonner coerced a girl under 18 to be filmed doing "sexually explicit conduct" then distributing the images from his computer. His trial will be forthcoming.
The convictions would have steep penalties for Bonner. The production of child porn could get him between 15 and 30 years and the distribution charge another 5 to 20. Then the court can tack on fines of half a million. Would be nice if the girl received the money to compensate for the pain and suffering.
