Headin’ Home Deliverin’ Bluegrass Gospel to Billings June 26
Has country music become too rock for you?
Is a soft rock band not quite your taste during the Sunday church service?
Perhaps you need a lively acoustic sound to lift your Holy Spirit?
Perhaps you need Bluegrass. Perhaps you should be a' Headin' Home.
Headin' Home is the Lindblom family band from Georgia, bringing an upbeat sound to the Good Word. Each member lends multiple talents into the endeavor. Father Jon plays upright bass and drives the tour bus, and mother Marina plays fiddle, writes songs and manages the bookings. Son Luke plays the resophonic guitar and handles the sound engineering, and daughter Libby's on guitar and cares for the marketing, and has published two books. Daughter Lucy plays mandolin and operates lighting and sound, and son Timothy is the 2023 Georgia State Banjo Champion, placing first in the guitar as well.
They just won the 2024 Georgia State Bluegrass Band Competition. They are now on tour in the West, with Billings among their stops.
Headin' Home will perform live this Friday evening at the Chapel of Hope located at 2425 U.S. Highway 87 E. The music starts at 7:00. There is no charge for the show, but a donation to cover their costs will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like a heapin' helpin' of their sound before the live show, just go to this link.
After all the oppressive heat, we all may be thanking God for the slightly cooler weekend. And a good way to enjoy the relief is some uplifting music.
