Men, we all want to look our best when we go out on the town. Whether it's with a significant other or just with our friends, we take pride in how we look in public; at least every man in my life does. But how much time do we spend on the process of getting ready for that night out? When I saw the average time, I almost couldn't believe it, because it takes me at least 3 or 4 times that long to get ready.

It's Such a Short Amount of Time

According to a study done by the grooming information site ToolsOfMen.com, it only takes Montana men an average of 10 minutes to get ready for a night out. That's it. 10 whole minutes. Now, "getting ready" is different for everybody, but for me, I tend to spend almost an hour making sure I'm clean, looking well-groomed and well-dressed. And I'm not the only one who takes that long either.

Our own Josh Rath made a comment regarding this study, stating that if he was going on a date, he typically takes around an hour to get ready. If it's just a night out with his friends, he spends a little less; 30 minutes maximum. That's still 3 times the average length from this study, and from what I can tell, we're also the state with the shortest time spent. What do I think of this?

I Don't Mind, Unless You're Not Being Hygienic

If it takes you 10 minutes to get ready, and you're staying clean for your night out, then more power to you. I just don't think I could take such a short amount of time getting ready because I usually want to make sure I'm also well-groomed every time, as well as styling my hair. I realize that not everyone does the things I do, but if I'm going out, I want to look my best.
