Billings Welcomes Mexican Ice Cream Shop at New Location
A new location for tasty Mexican treats in Billings.
Many Montanans enjoy visiting Mexico in the winter, for obvious reasons. Besides the beaches, palm trees, and 80-degree sunshine, one thing most visitors to Mexico comment on is the food.
Exploring the deliciousness south of the border is one of my favorite things. Those inexpensive street tacos (oh how I crave them!), fresh horchata, roasted elote, real fruit popsicles, and that creamy, delicious Mexican ice cream can be challenging to find in Montana.
Billings' Michoacan A Pedir De Boca has reopened in a former TOPZ location.
Michoacan A Pedir De Boca. If your Spanish is as rough as mine, let's break down the ice cream shop's name. Michoacan is a state in Mexico and the rest means "to order."
This is their second Montana location. The first is in Bozeman, where the establishment has racked up dozens of 5-star reviews. One person wrote,
The variety of ice cream and paletas is absolutely great! Is always fun to try a different one. The agua de fresa is great, as the tostitos and ice cream - so far we have tried the rum an raisins, tres leches, horchata, rocky road, strawberry cheesecake, Ferrero, lemon cake and all of them have been amazing.

This is my families new favorite ice cream place. Their churros are THE ABSOLUTE BEST I'VE EVER TASTED, even in California!
After reading this, I was looking forward to getting a churro and trying their ice cream. Sadly, they were sold out of churros when I popped by on Monday (1/29). The shop reopened in this new location (the former TOPZ Sandwich at 900 S. 24th St West) on January 27.
A variety of special foods.
According to the Bozeman store's menu (which is mostly the same for Billings), guests can enjoy a variety of foods, including nachos, a selection of churros, Dorilocos, street corn, Tostilocos, hot Cheetos with cheese, and handmade tamales in flavors like red pork, green chicken, poblano with cheese, or sweet corn.
All of their ice cream is made in Montana.
We stopped by the new location of Michoacan A Pedir De Boca in Billings today to check it out. I didn't have time to try all of the ice cream flavors (there were 37 available), but couldn't resist ordering a cup of tequila with almonds flavor. Wow. It's very, very good.
