The worst part about caramel apples

Oh man, who doesn't love caramel apples?!  A nice crisp, kinda' sour apple, covered in delicious caramel. My wife and a couple of the kids like them with peanuts. My 1st grader wanted to put sprinkles on hers and for her teachers at school.  I like mine classic, plain caramel. Although, I did experiment a little bit with sprinkling some sea salt on a few of them. Note: salt does not stick very well by sprinkling and pressing/rolling them in sea salt resulted in WAY too much salt.

All in all they turned out pretty good. The only complaint is washing out the saucepan. OMG. I tried doing it last night and decided that baby really needs to soak overnight.  Happy Halloween!
