The YMCA Offers Great Options For Your Kids
The school year is just about to kick off here very shortly! I know that a lot of parents wonder what to do with their kids once the school day ends. The YMCA offers such wonderful afterschool programs. Before I was on the radio I worked at The Y. I did summer camps as well as the after school program at Alkali Creek for a handful of years. I loved it so much. Not only were they great kids but it was a wonderful program for kids of all ages. If you need to make plans of what to do with your kiddos after school this is a great place to have them be! Check out what they have to offer!
AFTERSCHOOL
Even though safety is one of our top priorities, a quality
afterschool program is more than just a safe place for students
to hangout after the bell rings. The YMCA Afterschool program
nurtures potential, improves academic engagement and
achievement, builds confidence and character, and supports
healthy development in spirit, mind and body.
The YMCA provides a safe, fun and active atmosphere with a focus on the Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and
Responsibility. Children participate in weekly activities such as:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Homework help
Leadership development activities
Arts & humanities projects
Healthy snack
Rock climbing
Swim lessons
