These 5 Brew Hubs for Local Beer are the Highest Rated in All of Billings
What better way to kick of a brand-new year than with awesome craft beer from right here in Billings? Some of the best craft beer is made here, and I'm not alone in that opinion. There's a reason we have a Brewery Trail that takes you all across Downtown Billings and the many breweries that scatter here. But which ones are the favorites among you?
I took to Google and found the five local pour places in the Magic City with the best Google ratings. To qualify for the list, the brewery had to have at least 100 reviews, since those are the ones that will show up more when you search for them. With that in mind, here's an honorable mention before we begin.
Honorable Mention - Canyon Creek Brewing (4.6 ⭐, 262 Reviews)
Just shy of making our list (we had THREE breweries with 4.6-star reviews), Canyon Creek is Montana's first brewery built from the ground up. Check out their website here for prices and hours.
#5 - Uberbrew (4.6 ⭐, 440 Reviews)
If you've been in Billings for even a tiny amount of time, you've seen Uberbrew all over the place; it's iconic. They have an excellent food menu to go along with their massive beer selection, so give them a try if you haven't.
#4 - Last Chance Pub & Cider Mill (4.6 ⭐, 939 Reviews)
Hard cider is probably one of the greatest inventions the world has ever seen, and yet, there isn't a whole lot of places in Billings you can get it. But Last Chance in Downtown Billings is one of the best places to do so. I love their food, too. Not to mention that this brewery has nearly 1,000 reviews! Holy smokes.
#3 - Angry Hank's Microbrewery (4.7 ⭐, 111 Reviews)
Coming from a Billings native, you'll find no other beer as popular and as widespread across Montana than Angry Hank's Street Fight. But have you tried any of their other awesome brews? If you haven't you absolutely have to head to their brewery and give them a taste. They're only open until 8 p.m. though, so get there early.
#2 - Carter's Brewing (4.7 ⭐, 113 Reviews)
Occupying the old Railyard space, Carter's Brewing has become one of those places that people won't stop talking about once they've been there. I haven't actually been, but there is so much great chatter regarding their beer selection that I really have to go. They do constant updates on their Facebook page, so give them a look.
#1 - Craft Local (4.8 ⭐, 228 Reviews)
Reviewers love this taproom on Montana Avenue, and I can see why. Craft Local combines multiple experiences from local music, local artists, and of course, local beer and wine. This is definitely one of the places I should have checked out sooner and will do so as soon as possible.
Is your favorite brew hub on this list? If it isn't please let us know what you think on Facebook or on our mobile app. I'd love to try any new beer places in Billings that I haven't been to, so give me some suggestions!
