An Open Letter to One Billings Dog Owner
Dear Dog Owners of Billings,
I love that some of you walk your doggies on a regular basis. I used to own a dog walking business and I really enjoyed it until the pandemic hit. I moved to Billings after all that went down. Dogs have four joys in life: walks, smells, food, and you! Of course, our doggies love to play with toys and chew bones too.
I have an issue with a phantom dog owner in my neighborhood.😐
I still haven’t figured out who’s doing this... that’s why I call this person a phantom. I’m actually thinking of installing a camera to catch the person. A dog owner in my hood is letting their dog poop in my yard, and doesn’t pick it up.
It’s happened several times now. It’s annoying because I end up picking it up when that’s not my job. It’s the dog owners. The fact that this dog picks the same spot too, and the owner just doesn’t care. There’s piles of the same dog waste every couple of days. UGH!
It’s irritating because one big reason.
Laziness. We all know dogs poop, and they poop a lot. So why not pick it up? And please don’t use the “I forgot a bag excuse.” It’s tired and we know our pup is going to do their business so, bring a bag and pick it up.
Everyone, and I mean everyone has a bag of bags from grocery stores...
Put the bags next to the dog leashes so you don’t forget?? Maybe? Not that hard. Anyways... I’ll let you know If I catch the person. It’s kind of entertaining being a watch-dog...ha! See what I did there? 😋
