Celebrate National Napping Day: Tips To Recharge After Daylight Saving Time Changes
If you are one the many people still recovering from that good ole "Springing Forward," great news: Today is National Napping Day. This is a day you want to celebrate . . . by taking a little nap. We lost that whole hour due to "springing forward" for Daylight Saving Time yesterday, so this is PERFECT timing to make it up to our mind and bodies!
They say there are two ways to celebrate this fantastic little holiday. For starters, you can take a nap. Experts recommend that you take a 20 to 30 minutes to feel energized. A 60-minute nap will make you feel more rested . . . but you'll probably feel more on the lethargic and groggy side when you wake up. If down for the count longer than that, you'll enter that REM sleep, which also means you're more than likely sleep deprived.

If you are not a nap taker, don't worry you can still celebrate by going to bed earlier tonight. Maybe even jump-start that by exercising a little this evening . . . or by taking a hot bath or shower. Or even both!
Even though the time-change is just 60 mins, studies show that it can impact us for several days on end. Love that for us.
Nearly half of all people say they've had their sleep affected in some way by Daylight Saving Time . . . and women say they feel the effects more than men. While most of us would LOVE IT if we never had to change their clocks again. I become very aware of just how many clocks I have every time we have to change them. Why so many clocks?! No idea but it is pain in the butt to change them. Especially the car clock. I despise that one. Good news is I won't have to mess with that bad boy again till fall. So, there is that little ray of sunshine. Treat yourself today if you can and catch some extra Z's!
