First the lettuce, then the cake

No one really cared too much that lettuce has been recalled. I mean, who actually loves lettuce? Especially when you have alternatives, like kale or baby spinach or whatever. I loved all the memes that popped up saying, "ban lettuce, eat cake" or something similar. Then a few days later a recall was issued for a certain brand of cake mix.  Doh!

The CDC warned about possible turkey problems last week. And there was a bunch of ground beef recalled somewhere. It seems like some new warning pops up every few days of a new food hazard.  Did you know there is a slick website from the government that shows all active recalls? Check it out HERE.

The amount of items currently recalled for undeclared allergens, Listeria, E Coli or other nasty bugs is disturbingly long. Dog food, certain boxes of peanut butter Cap'n Crunch cereal, chocolate cherries, steam packs of asparagus, the list goes on and on. If you're a germaphobe, maybe don't bother reading it.
