Cheba Hut Bringing Its Cult-Favorite Sandwiches to Billings
If you've been following my stories for any amount of time, you know I write a lot about food. From the best Reuben in Billings to off-the-beaten-path pizza, I really enjoy food, restaurants, rumors, and news, and sharing with you what I find.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of sandwiches.
They're the ultimate lunch option, in my opinion, and I have my share of local favorites. Lisa's Sandwich Den, Topz, and Off Main Deli are a few of the best (RIP Chalet Market and Pickle Barrel), but I won't turn down a Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, or Firehouse Subs either.
Soon, Billings-area sandwich lovers will have a new option: Cheba Hut. The fast-casual toasted sub chain is set to "open soon" at 824 Shiloh Crossing Boulevard, Suite 4 (next to Orange Theory), adding yet another player to what is already a surprisingly competitive sandwich scene in town.
What do fans love about Cheba Hut?
Founded in 1998 near the college campus in Tempe, AZ, Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs now has around 80 stores in 16 states. The Shiloh Crossing location appears to be the company's first in Montana.
I have never been to a Cheba Hut, but my co-worker from Arizona said they are "awesome!" The entire brand is built around a laid-back, cannabis-inspired vibe. NOTE: There is ZERO cannabis in any of their items.
The menu is packed with toasted subs loaded with creative toppings, “munchies” sides, and big, gooey marshmallow treats that will certainly satisfy your post-smoke session food cravings.

They also tend to create stores that feel more like neighborhood hangouts than sterile fast-food stops. Think murals, music, and a place you don’t mind lingering for a minute. Most of their locations serve a decent selection of draft beer.
I'm looking forward to eating at the coming-soon Cheba Hut in Billings. When I do, I'll be sure to share a full review. Got a restaurant news tip? I'd love to hear from you. Email: michael.foth@townsquaremedia.com
