There's a buzz in the air about a members-only shooting range north of Billings. It promises to turn the page on our local shooting scene.

Mike Merino, the CEO of Helena, Montana's own Olympus Arms says this has been his best SHOT Show yet...and that's coming from a guy who had one of his guns voted as "Best in Show" at a previous SHOT Show.

A retired FBI guy, a retired CIA guy, a bunch of Montanans, and some Hollywood stunt men. That's the kind of people you will randomly run into at the SHOT Show in Vegas. We are headed back to the SHOT Show this week!

Earlier this year from the SHOT Show in Vegas, we told you about how a Montana company was a finalist in a major competition for the US Army. Here's the update: they won. And, they're now looking to manufacture this weapon right here in Montana.

We started the morning at the Montana Governor's breakfast with all of the great Montana gun and outdoor gear businesses here for the SHOT Show- which is basically the world's biggest gun and outdoor gear show.
